The Immunology conference aims to provide a forum for Immunologist in academia and industry to present and discuss their latest advances
The field of Immunology is growing rapidly and its development is making tremendous impacts in medical sciences and pharmaceuticals
This Science Research Conference will focus on the most recent advances in the fields of signal transduction in the immune system
Cellular Immunology is a study of cellular immune responses in vitro and in vivo. It is concerned with the immunological activities of cells in clinical situations
Associate Professor Magdalena Klink was born in Lodz, Poland. She received MSc and PhD in Immunology at the University of Lodz. After postdoctoral training in the College of Natural Sciences, Chungnam National University, Taejeon, Republic of Korea, she returned to Lodz to begin her independent career at the Polish Academy of Sciences in 1996. She is currently the Head of Experimental Immunology Lab in the Institute of Medical Biology, Polish Academy of Sciences. She also serves as a lecturer in the Academy of Cosmetics and Healthcare (biology with genetics).
Magdalena Klink is a member of the Editorial Board for Mediators of Inflammation.
Her research focuses on the determination of mechanisms responsible for ovarian cancer development and chemoresistance. These research also include the continuous attempts to find new drugs, which could aid the standard ovarian cancer therapies. The second major interest of her group is better understanding of the molecular mechanisms involved in the response of the human immune cells - macrophages and neutrophils, which create the first line of defense, against Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. What is more, the assessment of virulence factors responsible for these bacteria immune escape is also being performed in her laboratory. Her research combines tools from immunology, microbiology, as well as molecular and cell biology.
