Dr Jean-Luc Pelouard was born in Tours, France. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from Orsay University, France. After postdoctoral training at NCSU at Raleigh NC USA, he returned to CNRS with the “Laboratoire de Microstructures et de Microélectronique” at Bagneux, France. He founded a research group working on device physics, mainly heterojunction bipolar transistors and photo-detectors.
In 2001 his laboratory moved to Marcoussis, France as “Laboratoire de PhotoniqueetNanostrcutures”. He developed scientific activities on sub-wavelength structures for their optical properties and device applications.
In 2015 he merged his group with a team of ONERA to build MiNaO a joint research laboratory that is currently managing with RiadHaidar.
Jean-Luc Pelouard has published more than 140 scientific papers leading to more than 2000 citations. He holds 14 international patents. His research is currently focused on sub-wavelength structuration of metal-dielectric surfaces and nano-particles. He is developing activities on nanofabrication, fundamental optical properties and applications to infrared devices.
