Biography
Dr. Ning was born in China. He received his B.S. and PhD in Cell Biology and Genetics from Wuhan University, a famous university ranked in Top 10 in China. After postdoctoral training at UNC Chapel Hill, he began his independent career at the University of Miami in 2009. He currently is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine. He also serves as a member of the faculty panel for education at University of Central Florida.
Dr. Ning is interested in the interaction between EBV and the host innate immune system. EBV is a fascinating paradigm for studying the host-pathogen interaction. Dysregulation of EBV-specific immune response is not only important for EBV latency and oncogenesis, but also a characteristic of EBV-associated autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
