Ahmad-SaherAzizi-Sultan

Assistant Professor

Dr. Azizi-Sultan was born in Aleppo, Syria. He received her B.S. in Math from Aleppo University and moved to Germany obtain his master andPh.D in Mathematics from Kaiserslautern University under the umbrella of Fraunhofer Institute where he obtained his training in industrial mathematics for several years.  After his PhD, he joined the academic staff of King Saud university (Saudi Arabia) for two yearsand then moved back to Germany to start his postdoctoral training in mathematical Logic at the International Center for Computational Logic in Dresden. He then moved again to Saudi Arabia and started his own research at Taibahuniversity.

His interdisciplinary research focuses on dose evaluation and beam orientations in multi-criteria intensity modulated radiation therapy. Especially his knowledge about industrial multi-criteria optimization made him one of the referees for some journals such as European journal of Operational Research and Science Journal of Mathematics and Statistics. On the other hand, he is currently developing new techniques by combining methods from math and logic to speedup SAT solvers.
